International Distribution Company Bangladesh PLC. is seeking an experienced Territory Sales Officer to lead territory operations and drive growth in Chattogram. This job is ideal for proactive sales professionals with FMCG distribution experience who can manage distributor relationships, optimize route-to-market (RTM) execution, and ensure product availability and visibility at retail level. Key responsibilities: Lead the territory sales team to achieve primary sales targets and collection targets set by the company. Appoint distributors, manage floor stock, and ensure distributor profitability and compliance with company policies. Identify market and route gaps; find and on-board potential distributors and retail trade partners. Propose, implement and manage Route-to-Market (RTM) plans to improve market penetration and product availability. Conduct regular market visits and field checks as per PJP compliance to ensure merchandising, visibility and stock availability on retailer shelves. Monitor and control product damage and expiry within approved limits; drive initiatives to minimize losses due to expiry/damage. Ensure stock availability, shelf visibility, and effective execution of promotional and merchandising activities in the territory. Coordinate with supply chain, marketing and finance teams to address stock, pricing, and collection issues. Required skills & competencies: Proven technical and commercial skills in sales & distribution within the FMCG sector. Strong leadership and team management capabilities to lead a territory sales force. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and distributor relationship management skills. Analytical thinking and ability to interpret sales/market data to close route and market gaps. Customer orientation and strong execution discipline for in-field merchandising and PJP compliance. Computer literacy (MS Office) and basic reporting skills. Experience & education: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (typical requirement: 3 to 5 years) in Manufacturing / FMCG sales & distribution.
