Job Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team of Merchandisers & Assistant Merchandisers, ensuring peak performance and efficiency.
- Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
- Continuously update the fabrics, trims, print embroideries, washes and stitch library including technical data and price idea for easy reference.
- Oversee and source fabric and trims; collaborate with the design team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality samples.
- Oversee production processes and sample coordination with factories, ensuring all procedures are followed efficiently.
- Create detailed costing sheets with comprehensive breakdowns obtained from factories.
- Partner with fabric mills and suppliers to develop innovative fabrics and finishes ahead of design packs, minimizing lead times.
- Conduct regular factory visits to gather market insights and stay informed about industry trends.
- Work alongside quality control teams to ensure products meet required standards and manage forwarder bookings through logistics teams.
- Promote and adhere to ethical conduct and business practices; act as a bridge between production and quality departments.
