Job Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments including history taking, physical examination, and formulation of differential diagnoses.
- Provide medical care and treatment under the supervision of the assigned Specialist/Consultant.
- Monitor inpatients and report significant clinical changes to senior medical staff.
- Order, interpret and act upon diagnostic test results in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain accurate medical records, reports, and discharge summaries.
- Assist in daily ward rounds, outpatient clinics, procedures, and emergency calls.
- Manage departmental activities in absence of specialist/registrar/SMO.
- Coordinate scheduling of patients, investigations, and procedures with nursing and admin staff.
- Support infection control, patient safety, and clinical governance initiatives.
- Provide emergency medical care, initial resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill patients.
- Be available for shifts in ER, CCU, ICU or other critical units as per hospital roster.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training programs, clinical audits and CME activities.

Skills & competencies Clinical diagnostic and patient management skills across general medicine, emergency and surgical support. Basic computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel). Excellent communication skills in Bengali and English. Ability to maintain clear and accurate medical records and provide weekly updates to management. Teamwork, respectful professional conduct and strong patient-centered attitude. Work conditions & additional requirements Full-time position; rotational shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays as per roster. Candidates cannot hold other part-time employment while employed at BSH. Age: at most 35 years (as specified in the circular).
