Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the distribution of power and other utilities across the factory.
- Assist and lead team members in installation, commissioning and running of all kinds of machines.
- Oversee electrical installation and maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Implement and follow up scheduled preventive maintenance of machines and electrical equipment.
- Ensure smooth running and maintenance of overhead cranes, lifts and operational handling equipment.
- Maintenance of buildings and factory infrastructure.
- Organize and manage relocation of equipment and machinery around the floor.
- Organize periodic inspections and testing of all installations.
- Ensure fire and electrical safety and maintain fire safety equipment.
- Manage water inflow/outflow systems and regular maintenance of pipelines and water treatment plant.
- Handle all other maintenance related works arising in the factories.

Gunze United Limited is seeking a seasoned Manager (Maintenance) to join their production team in Savar, Dhaka. This circular invites qualified candidates in Bangladesh to apply for the Manager (Maintenance) role.Key responsibilitiesEnsure reliable distribution of power and utilities across the factory and oversee all energy-related systems.Lead installation, commissioning, and ongoing operation of a wide variety of machines, providing technical direction to the maintenance team.Supervise all kinds of electrical installation and coordinate electrical maintenance activities to prevent downtime.Plan and follow up on scheduled preventive maintenance for machines and electrical equipment to maintain continuous production.Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of overhead cranes, lifts and other operational handling equipment.Manage building maintenance, including structure, roofs, and factory infrastructure, and coordinate relocation of equipment and machinery on the shop floor.Organize regular inspections, testing, and certification of installations to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.Implement and maintain fire and electrical safety measures, including installation and upkeep of fire safety equipment.Supervise water treatment plant operations and ensure proper inflow/outflow, piping maintenance and related utilities management.Respond to and resolve all maintenance-related issues arising in the factories, providing immediate troubleshooting and long-term corrective actions.Required qualifications & educationBachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in dyeing or garments factory environments and thread/textile manufacturing facilities.Experience & specialized skillsMinimum 8 years of hands-on experience in factory maintenance with emphasis on dyeing, winding or similar textile machinery.Expertise in maintenance of dyeing and winding machines; strong troubleshooting and instant problem-solving ability.Experience with electrical installations, power distribution, overhead crane and lift maintenance.Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, periodic inspection procedures and safety testing.Ability to lead and train maintenance teams, coordinate cross-functional work, and work under pressure to ensure production continuity.Personal attributes & other requirementsWillingness to work hard and under pressure when production demands it.Good team leadership, communication skills and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.Gender: M/F (both male and female candidates may apply).Compensation & benefitsSalary: As per Company Policy (negotiable based on experience).Festival allowance: As per Company Policy.Other benefits and terms will be described by the company during the recruitment process.Location & how to applyJob location: Dhaka (Savar), DEPZ Extension area.Vacancies: 2 posts.Online apply: Candidates should send an updated PDF resume to info@gunzeunited.com.bd.
