Job Responsibilities
- Drafting and vetting plaints, petitions, written statements, complaints, general diaries, FIRs, legal notices, auction notices and notices under the Bank Companies Act 1991.
- Filing and contesting suits/cases on behalf of the bank and taking timely steps for faster disposal of suits/cases.
- Court attendance and coordination with conducting lawyers; ensure bank officers’ deposition with proper documents.
- Filing petitions for interim orders and pursuing certificates under section 33(5)/33(7) of the Artha Rin Adalat Ain, 2003 where necessary.
- Preparation and presentation of statements/progress reports on pending suits/cases for Management, Board and Bangladesh Bank.
- Monitoring and supervising case progress; taking necessary approved actions to ensure timely disposal of cases.

Required skills and experience: LL.B (Hons.) from a reputed university is required; LL.M or Bar-at-Law will be considered added qualifications. Minimum 4 years practical litigation experience; 4–7 years preferred, with experience specifically in banks, NBFIs or reputable corporate law firms. Proven expertise in legal drafting, legal compliances and litigation management, including handling cases under the Penal Code and Negotiable Instruments Act. Strong ability to prepare management-level reporting, coordinate with external counsel, and manage stakeholders during litigation matters.
