Job Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the sample floor – planning, workflow, and team coordination.
- Ensure all samples are delivered on time, meeting buyer standards and technical requirements.
- Work closely with buyers and internal teams to understand tech packs and construction details.
- Provide technical solutions to sampling issues – pattern, fit, or construction-related.
- Supervise pattern development and fitting – both on mannequins and live models.
- Use software like Lectra, Gerber, or CLO 3D for digital pattern making and virtual samples.
- Lead a team of tailors, pattern makers, and fit technicians – training and mentoring where needed.
- Maintain clear records of sample iterations, comments, and approvals.
- Work with merchandising and production teams to ensure a smooth handover from sample to bulk.
- Stay updated with new sampling techniques, materials, and market trends.
- Handle multiple buyer accounts and adapt to varied sampling expectations.
