Job Responsibilities
- Ensure distribution of power and other utilities.
- Assist and lead installation and running of all kinds of machines.
- Manage electrical installations and regular scheduled maintenance of machines and electrical equipment.
- Oversee operation and maintenance of overhead crane, lift and other operational equipment.
- Maintenance of buildings and factory contents; organize and relocate equipment and machinery.
- Organize periodic inspections and testing of all installations; ensure fire and electrical safety.
- Ensure water inflow/outflow and maintenance of pipeline and water treatment plant.
- Respond to maintenance related works arising in the factories.

This role will allow you to lead maintenance activities across a modern factory located in DEPZ Extension, Savar, Dhaka. Key responsibilities (summary): Ensure distribution and reliable supply of power and other utilities throughout the plant. Lead installation, commissioning, and running of all types of machines, including dyeing and winding machines. Oversee electrical installations, preventive maintenance schedules, and repair works. Coordinate maintenance and smooth operation of overhead cranes, lifts, and operational equipment. Manage building maintenance, relocation of equipment, and organization of machinery on the factory floor. Carry out periodic inspections, testing of installations, and ensure fire & electrical safety with appropriate equipment maintenance. Manage water inflow/outflow systems and maintenance of pipelines and water treatment plant. Respond to all maintenance-related works that arise in the factories and ensure minimal downtime. Detailed duties (expanded): Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all production and utility equipment. Train, supervise, and support maintenance team members and contractors to ensure consistent practices. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, spare parts inventory controls, and vendor relationships for timely procurement and servicing. Investigate root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Coordinate with production, safety, and engineering teams to plan shutdowns, overhauls, and upgrades. Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and internal company safety policies. Required qualifications and skills: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering or BSc in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized university. At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the garments, dyeing, or thread manufacturing sector. Strong hands-on expertise in maintenance of dyeing and winding machines, electrical systems, cranes, and utility plants. Proven ability in instant problem solving, critical thinking, and working under pressure. Good leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
