Job Responsibilities
- Handle and actively monitor all ongoing legal disputes including civil, criminal, and arbitration matters.
- Liaise effectively with external legal counsels, courts, and relevant government or regulatory bodies.
- Prepare legal documentation, case summaries, hearing notes, and board-level legal representations.
- Represent the company in preliminary legal matters and assist with handling government queries or notices.
- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date legal case tracker including hearing dates, deadlines, and next actions.
- Ensure all corporate licenses and registrations (TIN, VAT, BIN, MoA, AoA, trade licenses, etc.) are current and compliant.
- Prepare and submit annual returns, shareholder updates, and board resolutions to RJSC/BIDA on time.
- Ensure full legal and regulatory compliance with domestic and international authorities.
- Oversee foreign company registrations, filings, and renewals in jurisdictions such as the USA, UAE, and Singapore.
- Maintain direct communication with international legal advisors and compliance consultants.
- Draft, review, and finalize NDAs, MOUs, lease agreements, service agreements, and other legal contracts.
- Collaborate with internal finance and external consultants for timely tax filings and statutory obligations.
- Coordinate VAT, TAX, and TDS-related compliance and provide legal clarifications where needed.
- Monitor renewal of trade licenses, DSCs (digital signature certificates), and related filings with authorities.
- Develop and maintain a litigation and compliance calendar with all critical legal and regulatory deadlines.
- Proactively flag potential legal and regulatory risks to senior management.
- Assist internal audit teams with legal data, case updates, and compliance evidence.
- Submit detailed monthly legal and compliance reports to the CEO and the Board.
- Provide strategic recommendations to minimize legal risk and enhance governance.
