The Manager - Training & Development will be responsible for building a robust learning ecosystem that includes classroom training, e-learning platforms, leadership development, technical upskilling, and monitoring effectiveness after delivery. Key responsibilities (summary): Design and implement organization-wide training strategies aligned with business goals and operational needs. Conduct thorough Training Needs Assessments (TNA) across the factory to identify skill and knowledge gaps. Develop and facilitate leadership development programs, soft skills workshops, compliance trainings (RSC, BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP), and factory technical training. Manage e-learning platforms, maintain training calendars, and keep accurate training records. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using assessment results, performance data and participant feedback. Document training outcomes and prepare detailed reports for senior management to inform talent and operational decisions. Detailed responsibilities: Lead the creation of annual and quarterly learning plans aligned to business priorities and KPIs. Design blended learning solutions (classroom + on-the-job + e-learning) that cater to diverse learner groups across the factory. Implement measurement frameworks to quantify behavior change, performance improvement, and ROI of training initiatives. Ensure all training content meets compliance standards and is audit-ready for RSC, BSCI, SEDEX and WRAP inspections. Collaborate with line managers and department heads to ensure training is embedded into performance management and succession planning. Oversee vendor selection, content curation, and quality assurance of external training partners when required. Required qualifications & experience: Bachelor/Honors required; Masters preferred. 8 to 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within Garments, Textile or a Group of Companies environment. Proven record of designing and delivering practical factory floor and leadership development programs. Experience managing e-learning systems and maintaining training records. Strong understanding of compliance standards such as RSC, BSCI, SEDEX and WRAP. Skills and competencies: Excellent facilitation and presentation skills for both technical and soft-skill topics. Ability to conduct training needs assessments and convert findings into actionable learning interventions. Strong project management skills, attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple training activities concurrently. Capable of analyzing data to measure training effectiveness and present findings to senior stakeholders. Familiarity with e-learning platforms, LMS administration and digital learning best practices.
